Wednesday Caleb came home with dirareea, no big deal right? That's what I thought until all I saw was mucus and blood. I must say I freaked out!! We rushed him to the hospital, and they did exrays blood and stool samples, and after tramatizing the poor little boy, and scaring us , they decided to admit him. After getting Caleb set up in his room, David took Emily and Matthew home. Matt and Emily DID NOT want to go home with out mommy, and Caleb did not want mommy OR daddy to leave him. He's a momma's boy, and wanted his mommy beside him.
All that night I sat beside him worrying, praying, and worrying some more. "Would my precious little boy who had just seen his 7 th birthday be all right? I might ad, I had brought a quilt to quilt so I wouldn't go nuts just sitting beside of him, and as much as them "Pesky" nurses came in and out, who COULD go to sleep?! I was glad, Caleb slept good all night long, inspite of the nurses. (I don't know how he did it!)
By yesterday morning, it was no longer blood, but very runny stool. Our doctor came in, and said the ex-rays and things looked normal. That they were thinking a bacteral infection in the colon. She said if there was no more blood she would release him that night. Thanksfully there was no more blood the rest of the day, and he got released.
Now we are back home. The boys were all snuggled against each other last night, and it seems like everything is back to normal! I sure hope so, any way! I can't stand to see any of my babies sick or hurting!
