David's first Deer with a bow

As all of you hunters know, bow hunting is "in", here in Indiana. This subject has been a 'hot' topic in our house lately since David loves to hunt, and our two boys are learning how to hunt. For the last month or two David has been faithfully practicing shooting his bow, and I'll have to admit he has REALLY good aim with it, hitting the bulls eye MOST of the time. They guys (David and my boys) have found a good hunting spot right off Shiloh Rd. this is where Matt got his first deer, and where my hubby came from the other Saturday dragging his First Bow Shot deer from.
I'm mighty proud of my hunters for they are supplying us with some gooooood eating for a while, and hope they get at least 2 or 3 more so we can finish stocking our freezer full of meat.

Labor Day!

We had a nice Labor Day. Sunday night we made our way to David's parents house after church, and had a nice time visiting with the 'boys' and their wife's. That night before we went to bed, David and I, and Adam and Britt went spot lighting for deer. We saw a few 'nice' bucks, and felt the search for 'em was well worth our efforts. The guys are already getting geared to go hunting. Mom made Chicken sandwitches, and had some yummy ice cream for us to eat. All were there except Daniel ( he has other interests right now!) he was with Rebecca.
Monday morning found us getting up and heading to Vevay Park, where we spent the day. Dad did his usual outstanding job of grilling hamburger and hot dogs. We had macaroni salad, chips, watermelon, butter finger cake, and no bake cookies to boot! No one went away hungary. Ofcourse the 'corn hole' game was a mandatory game which we all played. Some of them enjoyed playing 500. which had to do with getting points for how many balls you batted, or caught. All in all we had a very nice time together til' later that evening when we all went our separate ways to our own homes again.

David's BIG catfish!

Saturday David and the boys went fishing in a nearby pond! Fishing was good that day,and they caught a few little blue gil and few little bass. ( which they put back in) The catch of the day, however, was a nice sized catfish. David had a time getting 'im in. It was 29 inches long, thus breaking Matthew's long time record of catching the biggest fish. (His was 25 inches) We've made many fun memories fishing with the kids!!

Here's the pix that I promised!

The Children have been enjoying the pool and slip-n-slide that someone dropped off for them! It has provided loads of fun, and a sigh of relief on hot summer days!! Thanks again to whoever is responsible for doing such a thoughtful thing for my children.

A blessing from God!!

The children have been wanting a swimming pool for quite a while and the other day when we came home there was one sitting on our porch, a triple slip-n-slide, and a disk that goes into a ball when you throw it was there too! Such a blessing!! The children were so excited!! The only problem is; we don't know who to thank!! So if the person that did this sweet thing for my children is out here in bloggin' world I want to say a BIG THANK YOU!!!!
Next time they are in the slip-n-slide, I'll post pix of it!

This time we all went to the zoo, and had a blast there as well! Kinda got afraid those zoo-keepers would keep my little monkeys though!! (Ha! Ha!) Well, we got some good pix which I will share! Tell me what ya think?!

Happy Anniversary to Us!!

Saturday was also David and I's 11th anniversary. It is so hard to believe that we've been married that long. God has been so good to give me a wonderful man that I love, cherish, respect, and could'nt live with out! I'm so glad God put us together... So sorry for all you out there... I've got the BEST!! (Ha!Ha!)

Grandma and Grandpa Ayars came for a visit.

This past Saturday Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Junior, Aunt Di and Amy came for a visit. It was great to see them all again, and not have to wait til this year's family reunion.
Well.. originally they were suppose to come on Sunday night; and for the last couple of months I've been telling the church people (when they would express a desire to see them again.) that they were coming sometime in July. Then I found out plans had changed and they were coming on a Saturday instead. You see; my grandparents used to pastor the church we are at now, and they had made some dear friends during their pastorate. I couldn't bear to disappoint the people, so when Betty Welch suggested a big pitch-in dinner, how could I resist?! Especially since it was to be at their nice BIG lovely home. They out did themselves with the help of their daughter, Colleen, and her husband Mike (other wise known as Santa) making everyone feel welcome! And as you will be able to see from the slide show underneath everyone had a good time seeing 'the Ayar's' again. We had a lot of GOOD food, and everyone out did themselves.

Grandma-pa Ayars came to visit.

Emily's 5

It is so hard to believe that my baby girl has turned 5... She has been so fun to have, and keeps life very intersting indeed. This year for her cake she wanted an angel food strawberry shortcake. It looks very messy after it is made, but it tastes awesome. So I conceded, and as you can see it looks as messy as I thought it would, but she thought it was great. I put Strawberry shortcake in the middle holding a huge strawberry, which ofcourse Emily thought SHE needed, and DID eat. Her birthday was on Wednesday June 25th, so after church we had our church family over to help us celebrate. It turn out to be a fun time for all. The MESSY cake was even a definite hit! Emily got a dollar from Great-grandma-pa Ayars in the mail about 2 days before her birthday. Well....you know how kids are, when they've got money it starts burning a hole in their pocket. While we were at GoodWill Monday Emily found this pretty little candle that was in a shape of a heart decorted all pretty. She begged to buy that with her money, saying "That way my baby can have a cake on her birthday momma." After we got home I was taking a closer look at the candle, when I realized it had 5 holes to stick little candles in the cake. (It had also came with the 5 little candles) so that solved the dileama of not having enough room to put candles on the cake; we'd just have this sitting beside of the cake.

Daddy's 50

Well, this past May my dad made it to the half-century mark! I missed out on the party, as usual! I always miss out on them unforunately. But anyways, he's 50~~~ Happy Birthday dad!

Memorial Day Weekend

This Memorial day found us in NC. Ofcourse I'm always excited to go there. It was nice to see my mom and dad, Brian and Trisha, cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents again. My kids had a blast seeing and playing with their cousins, Katie and Zach. We stayed Saturday and Sunday and left for home again on Monday.
While we were down there I wanted to make sure I got pics. of the cousins together. Katie and Zach are growing so fast, and I wish I could see them more. Katie will be a teen this year, in July she'll turn 13; and Zach is already 8. It sure is hard to believe how fast time flies. It seems just yesterday that the almost two, blonde-headed blue-eyed, Katilin was walking down the aisle as a flower girl in my wedding!

Mother's Day.

I had a wonderful Mother's day, and feel so blest to have three darling children entrusted to my care. I always dreamed of being a mother, and now for 9 1/2 years. I've got to enjoy the title "Mommy".

The planter that my sweet hubby got me for Mother's day. My children each made me a cute card. I had a wonderful day inspite of not being with my OWN mother.

Happy Mother's day?!

Well...it may be 3 days late on the blog, but I wasn't 3 days late telling my mom. I DO have the BEST mom in the world, in my opinion. I don't know what I'd done with out her. She's always been there to support me or help me during the different phases of my life. She's been there to believe in me when I thought I couldn't. When I had my accident 11 years ago, she was by my side constantly pulling for me to get better, and loving me through the trauma the accident caused. I'll never forget her helping me learn to walk again, crawling behind me helping my left foot to move with me, believing that I WOULD walk again someday. (only a MOM, would do that1) Also, I'll never forget when Matthew, my first child was to be born, and the courage she gave me, when I was told they were going to do an emergency C. She's, ( and yes, mom, I'm bragging on you!!) one I've always been able to count on, cry on throughout my life. She's been a spiritual GIANT, who has always taken the time to guide, and train me as a child. As a little girl I loved to help in the kitchen and in the house, and instead of not taking the time to teach, she taught me how to cook, clean etc.. I appreciate that Mom, it helped me out so much when I got married. For as long as I can remember she's been my "Best Friend", and that she truely is!! It is so neat to look back through the years of my life and see how close we stayed even when I was a child. Mommy, I love you, and want you to know you will always be a "Precious" part of my life!! Thanks for everything
