Yesterday I was babysitting a little girl named Emily. So for several hours I had two Emily's to deal with. You see the two Emily's are two weeks apart. Both have blonde hair and blue eyes. My Emily's hair is a little darker, and straight. The other Emily is tow-headed, and curly haired. As you can see both are around the same heigth, and have vivid imaginations! It was so cute to here them play together
Their play time went something like this:
My Emily: "Let's be mommy's, ok?"
Emily T: "Ok, but I don't need any help, I can be a mommy all by myself!"
My Emily: "Me too, Oh no, my baby's sick, I think I need to take her to the Mergency
room, hurry let's get ready, is your baby sick too?"
Emily T: "Yes, I've gotta go to my baby is very sick, she might die!"
My Emily: "Hurry, Hurry, will you pack so we can go?"

With that Emily T. is scurrying around try to pack to go the hospital, She might need a: camara, her purse, a bottle, a few toys (incase they get bored). Skip the blanket, cause baby's don't need to stay wrapped up, where's that bottle? Oh well, she won't need it any ways-----All through the packing experience, my Emily is holding the baby, rocking it, cooing to it, and saying "Poor baby, you don't feel good, do you? Your sick. Shhhhhh, mommy's here.
Finally the two girls are ready to go the hospital. Only, an odd thing happens, Where's the daddy? Oh well, the girls quickly fixed the problem, and Emily T. says she'll be the daddy. And with a com-on honey the two girls left to go to the emergency room.
They never finished the game when the walked out of the room, they became side-tracked with Emily's kitchen set, and decided they need to cook some food!
I love listening and watching kids when they think no one is around. Their imaginations are so Vivid!!!

Hurry the baby is Sick!

Finally, the BIG hole is covered!! The backyard looks so much nicer now that I don't have to look at that big eyesore when I look out my kitchen window! I can't wait to get it filled in with grass now! Slowly, but surely my BIG yard is looking nicer!

My Cow-Girl!

I just couldn't resist this picture. My mother-in-law took this one! Doesn't she look like a country girl? She is so silly, you can definitely tell she has brothers.
The other day Matthew was to have a program at school. He was to dress up like a cowboy,well--------his sister took a liking to the idea, and dressed up as well. Pretty soon she came prancing in saying " Momma, don't I look like a cow boy?, I wanna be a cowboy too!" Well, I said, you don't look like a "Cow boy" to me, ----but you definitly look like a "Cow girl". From then on she liked this term better, She's been dreaming of "Pink Cow Girl" boots. My mom and I found her some brown girlie ones , for now, they seem to be doing the job!

Another Busy Week

Well, it's another busy day at the Dicken house. The boys are off to school, and Emily and I are busy holding down the fort. Cleaning, (and I mean cleaning)cooking, etc. , who could EVER get bored. Currently Emily is playing be side of me, She's busy brushing "Sally's" hair. This is her favorite doll baby. Believe me, Sally needs a hair doo. She's been a much loved doll, and has been with us since Emily has been 18 months old. The other day I walked in the room and Caleb and Emily were playing house together! It was so cute, I listened for a long time, before I took the picture. They play so well together. Matthew, well, he figures he's too old for stuff like that! He'd rather be playing out side.
We've got a weekend revival coming up this weekend, a graduation to attend, revival announcements to pass out, and you name it. David is building a barn about 2 hours away this week and is keeping very busy doing this!
