They got the boys a box of matchbox cars each from them, and they brought Emily one of those 'Furreal' kitties!!

Friends!!

Jerry and Sue Harris came from Winchester, In to see us. They usually pull their camper down every summer to Sommerset, Ky and that's not tooo far from us. We use to pastor them when we were in Winchester. They 'adopted our kids as their 'grand' kids!" We had a nice time with them while they were here

Quilting

The reason it has taken so long for me to blog this week, is because I've been busy quilting. I just finished up this baby quilt Saturaday, it turned out adorable, I think I used a daisy kingdom cloth book for the blocks, and on the blank blocks I cross-stitched/embroidered BABY, with a block left just for recording the baby's info. This week I have been working on a tulip design king size quilt. On this one I'm just hand-quilting the back to the front for a friend. I didn't make the blocks up. It is taking FOREVER and MANY little, little stitches to get this accomplished!

Father's Day!

I think David had a wonderful Father's day this year!! He DOES make an awesome daddy!! Our three children think the WORLD of him!! Of course I do too!! I brought him breakfast in bed Sunday morning, and then the children carried their gift in. For dinner we had Ham (his favorite) homeade rolls (another favorite) green bean casserole stil another favorite, mashed potatoes, and last but not least, the meal was topped off with Cherry Cheesecake!! I had a very happy man that day!

Our new car!

We got a 2005 Cheverolet, Impala. It only has 47,000 miles on it. It rides really nice, not a bit cramped (even with 3 kids), and looks sporty!! The best part of all it gets REALLY good gas mileage!!

Chickens, Chickens, Chickens!!!

What? Are we starting a funny farm, yep our family has now added 4 chickens and 1 rooster to our domain!! Maybe I'm crazy, I don't know---But we decided the kids would really get a GOOD taste of being "Country Kids" if they had some. Any ways, these new feathery pets were given to us.
Ofcourse the kids are all excited!! Matt named the rooster, Sam, Caleb name a hen Eathan ( I didn't have the heart to tell the poor kids all chickens were girls unless they were roosters!!) and Emily well, she just named her hen "Bethany Chicken". The other two hens are still unnamed! Oh well, they ARE fun to watch!!

Fishing Derby fun!!

This past Saturday "Lake Cumberland" had a fishing derby for kids! Their motto was "Hooked on Fish instead of drugs". The different age groups got to fish at different times. Caleb's age group was first (5-6) and then Matt's (7-9). Their limit was 5 fish each. Caleb quickly caught 5 fish. Matt wasn't so fortunate. He lost two. By the time he got to fish it was so crowded every one's lines were getting tangled and everything, I think, Caleb's group drained alot of the hungary fish too. Poor Matt didn't get ANYTHING!! He was so disapointed and his ego was hurt a bit too. He has always been a good fisherman. Emily got to fish in the kiddy pool for ages (2-4). This consisted of her getting to fish from swimming pools stocked with fish!! andddddddd guess what???!! She GOT ONE!!
It was a good day, the children had loads of fun, they got prizes, Emily got a Superman fishing pole, Matt got a Batman fishing pole, and Caleb got a tackle box full of tackle(they were out of pink fishing poles for Emily((not that she needed one, she has a very nice one that her Great-grandpa Hudson bought her last year!)) the boy's switched their prizes though. Caleb preferred the Batman fishing rod.) They also got cotton candy, hotdogs, drinks, and looooaaads of candy! UGH---I've hid it all for now, I got tired of seeing it everywhere!

We played 'Corn hole' over the weekend, and David and His mom were the 'Corn hole' champs!! We also cooked out Sat.,with dad, as the griller! Everything was delicious. The guys all got up ridiculously early Mon. morning to fish. Just like old times! Around 10am we headed to a park, and played more 'corn hole' and soft ball. The guys played a little basketball, and had another grill out. David and I left right afterwards to head back to Albany. We had a Memorial day picnic planned there at 5:30 pm with our church. Memorial Day was fun, and a very fullllllllllllll day this year!!

Memorial Day Weekend

This year for Memorial Day weekend we were at my in-laws house. They live in Southern Indiana, and pastor a church there. It was great being there and seeing everyone again. It's so amazing how time flies by. My "Little" brother-in-laws are all taller than me, and two of them are married. Daniel is turning 18 this year and Josh has a 14 month old little girl "Abby". My children sure had fun playing with their 'little' cousin this round. The last time we were there was at Christmas.
